Wilton Alvaro Guerrero was born on October 24, 1974 in Don Gregorio, Dominican Republic. He is a retired baseball player who played in the Major Baseball League. He started his Major League Baseball Career on September 3, 1996 for the team Los Angeles Dodgers. In his rookie years, he was involved in a controversy when he used a corked bat which was accidentally broken in a game. The umpires discovered the bat and he was given an eight-game suspension. He also gave a 1000-dollar fine for such act. According to many reviews, he possessed strong defense skills as a player. He can handle any position given to him although he had very little power. He entered a minor league deal with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2005. The Cardinals invited him to spring training but he did not show up during the 2005 season. His younger brother, Vladimir Guerrero is also an MLB player as well as his cousin, Cristian Guerrero. He made a career record of .282 batting average and a total of 11 home runs.
