Timothy Adam Hudson was born on July 14, 1975 in Columbus, Georgia and is a Major League Baseball player. He serves as a starting pitcher for the Atlanta Braves and has played for a few other major league teams. Hudson started as a high school baseball player for the Glenwood School in Alabama where he led in the 1993 AISA state championship. For his entire high school career, he made 12-1 record and an ERA of 1.78. He went to Chattahoochee Valley Community College where he received All-American first team honors as a freshman and played significantly in the AJCCC Division championship and also played for the Auburn State University. His professional career started after being picked by the Oakland Athletics in the 6th round of the 1997 MLB amateur draft. His rookie season was observed with a 1-2 record and was a finalist in the American League Rookie of the Year voting. Together with Barry Zato and Mark Mulder, he belonged to the Oakland Athletics' “Big Three”. Among his achievements are the Roberto Clemente Award for his noteworthy performances in the filed and community and the American League Cy Young Award in which he belonged to the top ten for three times. Statistics show that Hudson also led numerous statistics as a player. He is currently a part of the Atlanta Braves.
