Phil Villapiano is a former American football player in the National Football League. He hails from Long Branch, New Jersey. Throughout his twelve season career, Villapiano played as line backer for two teams in the National Football League; the Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills . Villapiano studied high school at Asbury Park High School and Ocean Township High School where he was notable for playing high school football in both schools. Villapiano took his college education in Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio where he played college football and was prominent during his college career with the Bowling Green Falcons . He was listed 6 ft. 2 in. and 225 lbs. Villapiano started his career in professional football after he was drafted by the Oakland Raiders during the 1971 NFL Draft. He was the second round and forty fifth overall pick of the team during the draft. Villapiano's most noteworthy achievement was playing in four Pro Bowls and becoming a part of the winning team of Super Bowl XI with the Oakland Raiders.
