Phil Hennigan, born Phillip Winston Hennigan, is a retired professional baseball player who appeared in the Major Baseball League from 1969 to 1973. He was part of the teams New York Mets and the Cleveland Indians which drafted him during the 1966 MLB draft as a fourth round pick. He spent his first professional season with the Reno Silver Sox and posted a 4.03 earned run average and 32 walks. However, he did not appear in any games in 1967 due to military service and came back in action in 1968 when he played once again for the Reno and recorded a 3. 26 ERA. In 1969, he played mainly for the Waterbury Indians but also appeared at times in the majors. He made his Major League Baseball debut on September 2, 1969 for the Cleveland Indians. That year, he posted a 3.31 earned run average and played in nine games as a relief pitcher. In 1970, he appeared in 41 games for the Indians and made 43 strikeouts. Reviews say he had his greatest season in 1972 when he posted an earned run average of 2.67 in 38 appearances and had five games saved. He struck out 44 batters that year.
