Born on April 2, 1964 in Pebble Beach, California, Peter Joseph Incaviglia is a professional baseball player. Known as “Inky”, he was drafted by the Montreal Expos in the first round of the 1985 Major League Baseball amateur draft. He played college baseball at Oklahoma State University where he became a known and powerful hitter. He helped his college baseball team to the College World Series and still holds the record of most number of career home runs and home runs made in a season in the NCAA Division I. In 2007, he was inducted to the College Baseball Hall of Fame. With the Texas Rangers, he made a number of stat records including the record for most number of home runs and strikeouts in 1986. According to reviews, his best season came in 1993 when he played significantly for the Philadelphia Phillies in the World Series. Although drafted by the Expos, he refused to play in the minor league system of the team and so was traded to the Texas Rangers with which he made his Major League Baseball debut on April 8, 1986. He ended his career in 1998 with 206 home runs and .246 batting average. After his professional playing career, he worked as a coach for a few MLB teams like the Erie Seawolves and manager for the Grand Parairie AirHogs.
