Pat Hickey is a retired professional ice hockey in the National Hockey League. Hickey played as a left winger and spent a total of ten seasons in the NHL. Hickey was born Brantford, Ontario in Canada and played as a left winger. Hickey played for the Canadian National Team. Hickey, who is famously known as “Hitch”, played for the New York Rangers, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Quebec Nordiques and the St. Louis Blues. Hickey entered both the NFL Amateur Draft and the WHA Amateur Draft for the 1973 season. In the WHA Amateur Draft, he was selected by the Toronto Toros during the second round of the draft. On the other hand, he was picked by the New York Rangers in the second round of the NFL amateur draft. After being drafted by the Rangers, Hickey was able to debut in the league for the team during the 1975 season. Hickey was able to come up with 14 goals after playing for a total of 70 games. The Rangers made it to the playoffs during the 1977 and the 1978 seasons. Hickey was able to play in 18 games during the 1978 seasons and recorded eight points.
