Nate Field is Major League Baseball player who is currently the relief pitcher for the Florida Marlins. Field was an amateur free agent when he was signed by the Montreal Expos in 1998. He stayed on with the Expos for two seasons before he decided to sign with the Sioux Falls Canaries of the Northern League. He would make his Major League Baseball debut in 2002 after his contract was purchased by the Kansas City Royals in 2000. He played in the minor league prior to that. After becoming a free agent in 2005, he decided to sign with the Colorado Rockies and played for the team during the 2006 season. He signed with the Florida Marlins in 2007. Field played for the Fort Hays State University during his college days and became the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year during his senior year.
