Born on April 17, 1967, Marquis Deon Grissom hails from Atlanta Georgia. He is a retired baseball player of the Major Baseball League who played high school baseball at Lakeshore High School. After being an outstanding baseball player in high school, he went to Florida A&M University where he continued to impress baseball fans. He finally had his Major League Debut in 1988 for the Montreal Expos who picked him as 76th overall in the MLB Draft. He eventually became a leadoff hitter with the Expos as well as a center fielder. In 1991 and 1992, he recorded the highest number of stolen bases in the National League and was included to the All-Star team in the next year. He is a four-time Gold Gloves winner. After his stint with the Expos, he was traded to the Atlanta Braves with which he won the World Series. He caught a flying ball in the final round which made them win the series. After playing with the Braves, he was traded to the Cleveland Indians. He won the Most Valuable Player award in the ACLS and played in another World Series as well. He was later on traded to the Milwaukee Brewers and to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2001. He bagged the Willie Mac Award in 2003.
