Born on December 18, 1970 in Los Angeles, California, Lucious Harris is a former National Basketball Association player who was drafted in 1993 by the Dallas Mavericks. He played college basketball at Long Beach State where his jersey was retired. He was picked from the second round as 28th overall selection in the 1993 NBA Draft. Other NBA teams he played for are Philadelphia 76ers, Cleveland Cavaliers and the New Jersey Nets. He spent 12 seasons in the league and was able to take part in two NBA Finals, one in 2002 and the other in 2003, both for the New Jersey Nets. In his entire NBA career, he appeared in 800 games and scored 5, 784 points. He was named Player of the Week on December 23-29 in the Eastern Conference. He had a seven-season stint with the New Jersey Nets before he was released and joined the Cleveland Cavaliers. His number 30 jersey was retired during a game between the University of the Pacific and the 49ers. He was named as the school's all-time top scorer with 2312 points. Known also for his superb defense, he also topped the school's single-season score with 739 points in 1992-1993 seasons.
