Lindsey Benson Hunter, Jr. is a former National Basketball Association athlete who was born on December 3, 1970 in Utica, Mississippi. He appeared in NBA games from 1993 to 2010 as a point guard. Before starting his National Basketball Association career, he attended Murrah High School and went to Jackson State University. He was one of the university's most known athlete with Jackie Slater and Walter Payton. Hunter was selected by the Detroit Pistons in the first round. He was the team's 10th pick in the 1993 NBA Draft. He spent the 1993 to 2000 seasons with the Pistons and was then traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Billy Owens. He spent one season with the Milwaukee Bucks and then moved to play for the Los Angeles Lakers. He was traded to the Lakers in exchange for Greg Foster. He became instrumental in the Lakers' win in the 2001-2002 NBA Championship. He also played for the Toronto Raptors which he joined in 2002. Likewise, Hunter also appeared for a few NBA games for the Chicago Bulls and became part of the Boston Celtics, with which he never played a game for. Currently, he works as a player development assistant for the Chicago Bulls. In his entire career, he averaged 8.5 PPG.
