Lenny Green is a retired professional baseball player for the MLB. He was born in Detroit, Michigan and went to Pershing High School. He started his career after he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles as an amateur free agent in 1955. He was assigned to play for the Orioles affiliates in the Western League, Texas League, South Atlantic League and in the Pacific Coast League before being called up to the Orioles in 1957. Green was an outfielder for the Baltimore Orioles from 1957 all the way to 1959. During his first season in the MLB, he was able to come up with a .182 batting average and a .950 fielding percentage. His best season with the Orioles came in 1959 when he was able to play in a total of 27 games and come up with a .292 batting average and a 1.000 fielding percentage. In 1959, Green was traded to the Washington Senators in exchange for Albie Pearson. He stayed with the team until 1964 when he was traded to the Los Angeles Angles together with Vic Power. Later that year, his contract was purchased by Orioles, reuniting him with his former team. Green also signed with the Boston Red Sox in 1965 but only stayed with the team for one season.
