Kendall Gill is a professional boxer. He also works as a sports analyst. Prior to all that, Gill played as professional basketball player. Gill works for the Comcast Sports Net and the Big Ten Network as their sports analyst. He was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended Rich Central High School. While in high school, Gill led his varsity team to the Class AA Boys Basketball Tournament finals and was even selected as part of the All-Tournament team. Gill attended the University of Illinois and went on to play in the 1989 Final Four for the Fighting Illini. He was the front runner in the Big Ten in points and became a first-team All-American. During his senior year, Gill won the Slam Dunk championship during the NCAA Final Four. In 1990, Gill became eligible to join the NBA Draft. He was selected by the Charlotte Hornets during the first round of the draft. He was the fifth overall pick for that year. During his first season in the NBA, Gill was named into the First-Team All-Rookie. Gill went on to play in the NBA for a total of 15 seasons. Other than the Hornets, he also played for the Seattle SuperSonics, New Jersey Nets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Chicago Bulls and Milwaukee Bucks.
