Keith Foulke is a professional baseball player. He became active in the Major League Baseball from 1997 to 2008 before opting to play in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball for the Newark Bears in 2009. His professional career started when he was picked up by the San Francisco Giants organization of the minor league. He was later traded to the Chicago White Sox in 1997. In 1998, he served as a set-up man for Matt Karchner, the White Sox's closer. In 1999, he became a relief pitcher with an average ERA of 2.22 after pitching for 67 games and 105.1 innings. He became the closer in 2000, made 24 saves and was awarded the AL Central title. He signed with the Boston Red Sox in 2003. He had an average ERA of 2.17 in 83 innings. He was there when the Red Sox won the 2004 World Series. Foulke was the one who made the final out that would give the title back to the Red Sox after such a long time. Foulke signed with the Cleveland Indians in 2007 but did not play for the team rather he announced his retirement. He came out from retirement in 2008 and played for the Oakland Athletics as their closer before playing for the Newark Bears of the ALPB.
