Justin Reed is a National Basketball Association player who hails from Jackson, Mississippi. He was born as Justin Michael Reed on January 16, 1982 and grew up in Mississippi. He went to University of Mississippi where he played college basketball. Before having a stellar basketball career in the university, he played in Provine High School where he had the chance to play alongside David Sanders and Aaron Harper. As a college basketball athlete, he showed great versatility and was part of the team's battle in the Southeastern Conference. He was included in the All-SEC team and helped the team reach two NCAA championships. After his celebrated career in University of Mississippi , he joined the National Basketball Association as a 49th overall pick in the National Basketball Association Draft in 2004. He was chosen by the Boston Celtics with which he spent his first one and a half seasons in NBA. After his career with the Celtics, he moved to the Minnesota Timberwolves and appeared in 40 games for the team. After his stint with the Timberwolves, he went to free agency. In 2007, it was made known to all that Reed will soon join the Houston Rocket via trade.
