Joshua “Josh” Smith Fogg is a Major League Baseball player who is currently playing for the Philadelphia Phillies organization. Prior to going professional, he played for the University of Florida. In the 1998 Major League Baseball Draft, he was picked by the Chicago White Sox. He was able to make his pitching debut in 2001. By the end of that season, Fogg was traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates where he stayed until in 2005 when he was acquired by the Colorado Rockies. It was then when he got the nickname “Dragon Slayer”. He got his nickname after he pitched and won against some of the best MLB pitchers including Brandon Webb and Curt Shilling. Fogg decided to sign with the Cincinnati Reds in 2008 but only stayed with the team for a year. He opted to return to the Rockies that included a minor league contract and an invitation to spring training. He signed a minor league contract with the Mets in 2010 but was later released. Shortly after, Fogg then signed another minor league contract with the Philadelphia Phillies.
