He signed with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on July 31, 2006 as a trade for Julio Lugo with his fellow Dodger, Sergio Pedroza. He played for a short period for the team and spent most of his season with the Triple-A Durham Bulls, a minor league team. At the end of 2006, he went to free agency again with a minor league contract with the Washington Nationals and was later on signed by the Baltimore Orioles for minor league.
