Jerome O' Terrell Walton is a right- handed center fielder that formerly played in the Major League Baseball. He was born on July 8, 1965 in Newman, Georgia. He spent a ten- year major league career playing for the Chicago Cubs, California Angels , Cincinnati Reds, Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays. He attended Newman High School for his secondary education and Enterprise State Junior College. He was drafted as 36th overall in the 2nd round of the 1986 Major League Baseball draft by the Chicago Cubs. He made his first appearance in the major leagues on April 4, 1989. The same year, he won the National League Rookie of the Year. He was the first Cub to win this since Ken Hubbs way back in 1962.
