George Frazier is an American baseball player who originated in Oklahoma. Born on October 13, 1954 he became famous in the field of professional baseball throughout his lifetime. He pitched in the Major Leagues from 1978-1987, primarily as a set-up reliever. He batted and threw with his right hand. His debut on MLB was on May 25, 1978 when he played for the St. Louis Cardinals. He won 35 games and lost 43. He also earned a run average of 4.20 and his strikeouts reached a staggering number of 449. In 1981, as he played for the Yankees, he shared a World Title Record with Lefty Williams. Their records were for three loses, however, Williams threw the games in 1919 World Series as a part of the Black Sox Scandal. He also appeared as a member of the Twins in the 1987 World Series . He started playing baseball when he was in high school at the Hillcrest High School in Springfield, Missouri where their team was called Hornets. Frazier also played with the Cleveland Indians in 1984, Chicago Cubs from 1984 to 1988,and with Minnesota Twins from 1986 to 1987. Frazier has a son who was named Parker Frazier who also played baseball in the 2007 MLB Draft with the Colorado Rookies.
