While in the minor league, he made the most number of stolen bases in 2004, recording 90 stolen bases. His first Major League Baseball appearance was on August 17, 2004 and made his first hit in the major league during his first six games. However, he failed to appear in the entire 2005 season because of a surgery. On September 11, 2007, he made his first home run in the Major League Baseball during a game held in Comerica Park.
