Bob Robertson was a former American professional baseball player who hails from Maryland. He played as a first baseman for a few teams in the Major League Baseball, namely, the Pittsburgh Pirates, Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays. Before being able to play in the major leagues, Robertson became a three time home run leader during his minor league career. Robertson began his professional baseball career after signing as amateur free agent in 1964 with the Pittsburg Pirates. Three years after the draft, Robertson made his debut in the major leagues on September 18, 1967. Robertson threw and batted with his right hand, and was listed 6 ft. 1 in. and 195 lbs. One of Robertson's astounding displays of talent with the Pirates was during their game against the San Diego Padres held at the Three Rivers Stadium when he hit a home run that went into the left field upper deck of the said stadium. After being with the Pirates for thirteen years, Robertson joined the Seattle Mariners as free agent in November 1977. And in April 1979 he joined the Toronto Blue Jays.
