Andy Fox is a retired Major League Baseball player and a current baseball coach. He was born in Sacramento, California and attended Christian Brothers High School. He was picked by the New York Yankees during the second round of the draft picks. He made his MLB debut in April of the 1996 season. He went on to play for the Yankees during the 1996 World Championships where the franchise ultimately won. Fox signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 1998 where he stayed on until 2000. He was able to set a record of hits by pitch while playing for the Diamondbacks. He is part of the Arizona Diamondbacks 1998 Inaugural Season Roster. Fox signed with the Florida Marlins in 2000 and played until in 2003. He also had short stints with the Montreal Expos and the Texas Rangers. Even when he was still playing in the MLB, Fox was already the manager for the Spokane Indians. He also coached the Texas Rangers. He served as the Florida Marlins' first base and infield coach in 2007. He also served as hitting coach for the Double-A West Tenn Diamond Jaxx that plays in the Southern League and is part of the active roster.
