Allen Watson is a former American professional baseball player. He was born in Jamaica, New York and took his college education at the New York Institute of Technology. Throughout his eight season career in the Major League Baseball, Watson played as pitcher for numerous teams; the St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Anaheim Angels, New York Mets, Seattle Mariners and the New York Yankees. Watson was 6 ft. 3 in. and 195 lbs. He both batted and threw left handed. He began his professional baseball career after he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals during the 1991 amateur draft where he was a first round pick of the team and formally signed on June 12, 1991. And two years after, Watson made his pro debut on July 8, 1993. Watson played for three seasons with the Cardinals, until he was traded to the San Francisco Giants on December 14, 1995 before joining the Anaheim Angels on November 26, 1996. Watson played for the Angels during the 1997 and 1998 seasons after which he was released by the team on December 1998 and then signed as free agent with the New York Mets in early 1999 only to be traded in the mid year to the Seattle Mariners . Watson then had his final game with the New York Yankees on August 10, 2000.
