Alan Cedric Page is a retired professional football player who is currently working as a jurist. A graduate of Canton Central Catholic High School, he went to University of Notre Dame and had his Juris Doctor degree at University of Minnesota Law School. In college, he was awarded the Silver Anniversary Awards of the NCAA and the National Football Foundation Distinguished American Award for his great plays in the college football scene. He was also named to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1993. He started his professional football career in 1967 after he was signed by the Minnesota Vikings and stayed as part of the team until 1978. After playing for the Vikings, he joined the Chicago Bears with which he logged 40 sacks. He stayed in the National Football League for 15 years and gathered numerous titles. He appeared in 218 games which he attended without any absence and was named to the All-Pro for six times. In 1971, he was included awarded as the AP National Football League Defensive Player of the Year and was also named as the Most Valuable Player. After his playing career, he went to broadcasting and worked for the National Public Radio. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988.
