He continued to impress many fans as a third baseman and in the 2000 season, he appeared for 60 games. He joined the Cleveland Indians before the 2004 season but went to retirement after signing with the Indians. His final Major League Baseball appearance was on September 23, 2003 for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and he posted a career average of 16 home runs and 65 runs batted in, with a batting average of .248.
